Bixby City Hall
The renovation of Bixby City Hall and the adjacent Dawes Building, completed in late 2021, reimagines approximately 10,000 square feet of vital civic infrastructure at the heart of Bixby’s growing community.
The City of Bixby’s municipal facilities renovation improved accessibility, functionality, and public service while supporting downtown Bixby’s long-term development goals. A new public-facing lobby at City Hall centralizes key services, including the Water Department, Police Department reception, and administration, creating a more welcoming and transparent experience for visitors.
The Dawes Building, which houses Public Works, Planning, and Inspection departments, received a renovated entrance, ADA-compliant restrooms, improved departmental organization, and a custom canopy that provides both civic presence and sheltered waiting areas.
“There had been small renovations over the years, but nothing this cohesive.” – City Engineer Jared Cottle
The project also introduced updated finishes, lighting, and security features throughout both buildings. Guided by a master plan, the renovations modernize municipal operations while reinforcing Bixby’s commitment to accessible, responsive, and community-focused government.
