Edmond Veterans Memorial
The Veterans Committee of Edmond, Oklahoma tasked Beck Design and SWA with the redesign of a residential neighborhood park to honor the military history of Oklahoma, its veterans, and fallen soldiers.
The design team created a series of spaces representing a “lifetime of service” across military branches.
The design integrates natural features, guiding visitors through meaningful experiences. A civic arrival plaza leads to a memorial pavilion with local fallen soldiers’ names. A flag plaza honors all military branches, hosting holiday events.
A promenade bordered by a memorial wall depicts conflicts paralleling Edmond’s history. Maple groves represent the military community. Visitors follow the “hero’s path” to a fishing dock for reflection.
