Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame

Completed in 2007, the project transformed the landmark 1931 Art Deco train station into a cultural venue dedicated to celebrating Oklahoma’s rich jazz, blues, and gospel music heritage.

Beck Design led the architectural programming, preservation planning, and full renovation design, carefully balancing the building’s historic integrity with the functional needs of a modern performance and exhibition facility. The revitalized space includes a flexible concert hall, gallery areas, classrooms, and administrative offices—all configured to support live music, education, and community events. 

Original terrazzo flooring, grand arched windows, and decorative stonework were meticulously preserved, while new lighting, acoustic treatments, and performance infrastructure were subtly integrated. Beck Design’s thoughtful renovation ensured that the building’s architectural grandeur was honored, while giving new life to a civic landmark that now serves as a vibrant center for music, culture, and public engagement.
