Rock Island Depot
The historic Rock Island Depot in Chickasha, Oklahoma, was restored to preserve an important piece of the community’s railroad heritage.
Originally constructed in 1910, the approximately 5,000-square-foot depot was rehabilitated with careful attention to its historic character and National Register significance. The restoration included reconstruction of the roof, plaster, ornamental ironwork and brick paving, along with rehabilitation of the building’s ceramic and wood floors. Beck Design led the restoration in collaboration with the Chickasha Antique Auto Club and local preservation efforts.
