Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library

Completed in 2004, the 114,000-square-foot facility serves as the flagship branch of the Metropolitan Library System and anchors a prominent downtown Oklahoma City location. Beck Design led architectural coordination, construction documentation, and project execution, ensuring alignment with civic goals, code requirements, and design intent. The library includes expansive reading areas, technology hubs, flexible meeting spaces, and dedicated children’s and teen zones designed to support learning and community engagement. Natural light, warm materials, and an open layout create a welcoming civic environment. The project continues to serve as a vital cultural and educational resource for the community.
