Rose State College Health Science Center
In response to Rose State College’s unwavering commitment to health science education and its growing student demand, this project delivered significant technological and operational enhancements to the existing nursing training infrastructure.
"Our Nursing program always has a long waiting list, and now we will be able to give more students an opportunity.”
-Dr. Jeanie Webb, President Emerita of Rose State College
Funded by $9.4 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, the project expanded Rose State College’s Health Sciences Building to increase enrollment capacity by approximately 50% while modernizing clinical simulation labs with advanced equipment. The project included renovations to existing training spaces and the addition of classrooms, a lecture hall, and new simulation environments designed to support hands-on healthcare education.
The expanded facility enhances workforce readiness through state-of-the-art simulation labs, collaborative learning spaces, and flexible teaching environments that prepare students for the evolving demands of healthcare professions. By accommodating growing enrollment and providing contemporary training resources, the Health Sciences Center strengthens the college’s ability to develop skilled, confident, and compassionate healthcare professionals. The project also supports Oklahoma’s increasing need for qualified healthcare providers, reinforcing Rose State’s role in advancing regional workforce development and improving long-term community health outcomes.
