Master Plan

Beck Design partnered directly with Langston University’s administration to envision and execute the inaugural building of the Tulsa Campus under the broader master plan for Langston University. 

This project marked the first phase in a multi‑stage master plan intended to establish a permanent, vibrant presence for Langston University in Tulsa—an institution that had long shared facilities prior to this development. Strategically placed on a site once vacant after the historic Tulsa Race Massacre, the building stands as a testament to renewal, access, and inclusivity within the community. Thoughtfully designed to accommodate administration, academic programs, and community outreach functions, it fosters a sense of belonging into which both students and residents are invited as part of one cohesive family. The design’s powerful symbolism and civic impact, reinforced by its realization through Vision 2025, garnered multiple design awards and community acclaim.
