Beck Design served as the executive architect for the adaptive reuse and renovation of the historic Colcord Hotel, a 12-story landmark originally built in 1910 as Oklahoma City’s first skyscraper.
The project transformed the early 20th-century office building into a 108-room boutique hotel while preserving its historic character and architectural detailing.
Beck Design led the programming, building assessments, and design implementation, carefully restoring original features such as marble-clad columns, decorative plaster ceilings, and cast-iron elevator surrounds. Contemporary systems and amenities were seamlessly integrated to meet the demands of modern hospitality without compromising the building’s integrity.
Guided by a philosophy that “great architecture honors its past while embracing the future,” Beck Design approached the renovation with precision and respect for the building’s historical fabric.
