Grand River Dam Authority
The Grand River Dam Authority selected Beck Design to create the Grand River Ecosystems & Education Center in Langley, Oklahoma, which includes a visitor center, museum, and environmental education facility inspired by the Art Deco character of the historic Grand River Dam.
The two-level, 20,000-square-foot building houses offices for the Ecosystem Department, a water monitoring laboratory, community meeting space, historical museum, and visitor center.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the facility incorporates a geothermal heating and cooling system that recirculates water from Grand Lake, reducing energy use while connecting the building to its unique lakeside environment.
The result is a distinctive civic destination that celebrates the region’s history, ecology, and architectural heritage.
