Oklahoma Adaptive Sport Association Headquarters

Empowering athletes with disabilities

As Oklahoma’s leading nonprofit in adaptive athletics, the Oklahoma Adaptive Sports Association (OKASA) offers a wide-ranging portfolio of programs, from wheelchair basketball and track & field to swimming, water sports, table tennis, weightlifting, swimming, and more.

Conceptualizing a purpose-built facility for OKASA presents an opportunity to dramatically elevate the scale, quality, and continuity of these services. By centralizing accessible courts, pool spaces, training zones, and adaptive equipment storage, the facility would reinforce athlete skill development, streamline program coordination, and enhance year-round engagement. Thoughtful architectural layout and planning would optimize movement flows, encourage inclusivity, and support specialized needs, creating a home where athletes can train, grow, and connect with their peers.

This facility would expand OKASA’s mission footprint, elevate public awareness of adaptive sports, and foster community resilience. Such a facility would enhance quality of life for disabled athletes nationally and beyond, boosting confidence, health, and social inclusion, while positioning OKASA as a regional exemplar in inclusive recreation infrastructure.
