Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheater Concept
Beck Design reimagined the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre with a contemporary vision that enhances the guest experience while honoring the venue's historic character.
The design introduces a park-like arrival featuring a shaded entry plaza, refreshed landscaping that complements Oklahoma City Zoo standards, and a new entry pavilion housing ticketing, retail, and food and beverage services.
A signature marquee with integrated LED displays creates a dynamic identity, while an elevated VIP balcony offers premium viewing. The stage design includes an optional canopy structure that extends over the reserved seating area without obstructing lawn views, improving comfort while preserving sightlines.
Behind the scenes, the project expands artist amenities with dedicated technical spaces, additional green rooms, loading docks, and storage facilities to support modern touring productions.
The revitalized amphitheatre also includes more than 4,000 reserved seats, upgraded concessions, climate-controlled restrooms, enhanced entry gates, and a renovated terraced lawn that preserves the venue's original stonework.
