Tulsa Pedestrian Bridge
Created for a design competition, this pedestrian bridge concept reimagines the way Tulsa engages with the Arkansas River.
Rather than serving only as a crossing, the bridge was envisioned as a landmark destination—an expressive gesture that connects neighborhoods, inspires community pride, and creates a new front door for the city. Its sweeping form symbolizes movement and flow, reflecting both the vitality of the river and the momentum of Tulsa’s growth.
The bridge’s design is bold yet welcoming. Pathways rise and weave together in a sculptural ribbon, offering safe and distinct routes for cyclists and pedestrians while encouraging moments of overlap and shared experience. The structure becomes a stage for daily life, whether it’s a morning jog, an evening bike ride, or a simple walk to enjoy the view.
Illuminated railings trace the bridge’s elegant lines, transforming it into a glowing beacon after dark and casting reflections that shimmer across the water.
